Based on an open call ANALCO PROJECT: Nomadic screenings of video / performance functions as a platform for a series of screenings of video/performance to be exhibited in diverse spaces such as festivals, galleries, conferences, seminars and public spaces, especially in the Nordic and Baltic Countries, enabling sharing and expanding visions between Latin America and Europe.
Nomadic screenings of video / performance, explores the borderlines between art, artivism and activism. It is a transmitter of local histories and experiences where violence has been central; not based on hard facts or shocking images as in mass media, but rather through its capacity of drawing people together into spaces where one’s own voice can be claimed, dismantling the silent hegemonic discourses built as paralyzing structures and perpetrators of ignorance. The main focus is the representation of violence, resisting “historical truths” and mainly but not only, residues from the colonial past between Latin America and Europe.
